The method involves utilizing a thermoplastic film (14) i.e. polypropylene film having thickness ranging from 60 to 100 micrometer, as a printing substrate. A new film utilized as the printing substrate is produced from waste advertising banners for forming new advertising banners (10), at the end-of-life, by removing vegetable-based ink utilized for printing an image (24) by washing with aqueous solution containing tensio-active agent. A coating (26) i.e. mineral charge loaded organic resin coating, permitting separation of inks by washing, is arranged between the image and the film.
