The collector has a panel of photovoltaic cells (1) and a heat exchanger (9) with coolant. The heat exchanger is connected with a coolant circulation circuit for cooling the photovoltaic cells. The heat exchanger is provided with an upper plate (11) and a lower plate (12) that are secured together by a thermally conductive material. The lower plate is deformed so as to be inserted into multiple channels (15) extending over a surface of the lower plate. The upper plate tightly covers channels on the lower plate fixed on a lower side of the panel.
