The shutter (20) has a core comprising an insulating plate whose main surfaces are covered with films adhered to the core. The core comprises bar-shaped finishing pieces (31, 33) extending along sides of the plate and having faces that form edges of the shutter such that dimension e.g. width and height, of the shutter is adjusted by cutting a portion of the finishing pieces along a side of the shutter. The films comprise reinforcements such as fibers embedded in polyester matrix, and have outer surfaces provided with recesses and/or reliefs imitating the appearance of wood. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a shutter.
