The winch (90) has a drum around which a cable (72) is wound, where the cable is provided with a hook (70), and the drum is rotated by an asynchronous electric motor supplied with alternating current. The motor is provided with a casing, where the center of the casing is provided with a disk brake. A securing device (45) includes a toggle switch fixed on a metal jaw provided with a butterfly screw for tightening on a mast, where the switch is connected to the motor of the winch by an electric cable (46). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a crane jib (2) a method for installing a winch on a crane jib.
