The equipment has a box (2) comprising strip walls (5) delimited by an upper edge (10) and a lower edge (11). A storage volume (6) stores supporting materials introduced through an upper opening (14). A lower opening (15) distributes the supporting materials on bottom of an open trench (F) from the storage volume. The lower opening is connected to the lower edge of the box. A shoe (3) comprises a lower face (3a) that extends to a plane passing through the lower opening of the box so as to define thickness of an installation bed distributed by the equipment.
