The method involves using two identical multiplexers (100, 100'), and connecting one of adjacent channels (C43-48) to an input of one of the multiplexers, and connecting another channel to an input of the other multiplexer. The adjacent channels are utilized for transmitting digital signals. A set of outputs (101, 101') of the multiplexers is connected to a set of isolated inputs (201, 202) of a 3-decibel hybrid coupler (200). An independent claim is also included for a transceiver device.
