The sluice (10) has a waste slot (16) including a section having a height (H) less than or equal to 70 mm, to limit introduction of non-recyclable waste, where the waste slot is rectangular in shape and has a width (L) of 220 mm. A box (14) forms a projection from a mounting plate (12), where the box includes a front face (14a) on which the waste slot is formed. The box is attached on the mounting plate, where the section of the waste slot is placed in a vertical plane, and the section of the slot is oriented obliquely with respect to the vertical plane. An independent claim is also included for a recyclable waste removal system.
