The bridge (10) has a conducting element i.e. conducting strip (12), whose surface is provided with contact disks (16) at its respective end parts, and a U-shaped arc containment cage made of insulating material. The cage comprises side walls (18) that extend normally to the corresponding surfaces. The cage is integrated in a firm manner with the conducting element. The conducting element is forcibly installed in pins (22) of the containment cage. The walls have guiding units i.e. side clips (30), that engage with complementary side clips of a movable contact bridge housing. An independent claim is also included for an electrical switchgear.
