The battery has a container containing an electrochemical bundle that comprises positive and negative electrodes, where the electrodes enclose electrolyte-impregnated separators. A positive current output terminal penetrates through a wall of the container. An internal connecting piece (20) electrically connects the electrodes of one of polarities with the current output terminal. The internal connecting piece is provided with two co-laminated copper/stainless steel portions (25, 26), and possesses constant thickness.
