The device has a volume (8) that is able to be isolated to allow a comparison of pressure in the volume. A valve (1) is utilized for placing the volume at a specific pressure. Another valve (4) is utilized for placing the volume at another specific pressure. A third valve (2) is arranged on a same line as that of a fourth valve (7). A pressure comparator (6) is arranged upstream of the valve and connected to the volume and a downstream volume (10). An independent claim is also included for a control method for ensuring closure of an isolation system.
