The invention relates to a unitary authentication method of a hardware object comprising a phase of constructing an authenticator system comprising at least: a step of selecting a message image, a step of selecting a support image. a step of transforming the message and support images to generate at least two images shared according to a transformation method implementing at least one random sequence, the message image not being accessible in each shared image taken individually, step of recording at least one shared image. According to the invention, in the construction phase of an authenticator, each random sequence, called the material signature, is extracted or generated from at least one structural characteristic of at least one region of the material object and capable of to be generated on demand and identically from the material object.
