The present invention relates to a device for the detection of an open and unattended closure of an enclosure to prevent theft comprising a detector adapted to detect if the closure is open and a detector adapted to detect if the closure is unattended, the detectors being operably connected to an effector adapted to alert a user to open and unattended condition of the closure.
