PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower alcohol detection reagent capable of simply and surely detecting a target by using a color reaction even in a case where lower alcohol to be the target has low concentration, and a lower alcohol detection method using the lower alcohol detection reagent.;SOLUTION: A lower alcohol detection reagent is for detecting lower alcohol by using a color reaction and contains basic fuchsine, sodium bisulfite, hydrogen chloride and water. It is preferable that the content of the sodium bisulfite is 50-400 pts.mass and the content of the hydrogen chloride is 50-400 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the basic fuchsine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
