RISER OF STAIRCASE AND STAIRCASE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new riser of a staircase capable of preventing a treading sound of walking and maintaining the effect over a long period of time, and a staircase structure.SOLUTION: On a top edge butt end of a riser 2, at least one of corner parts extending in a longitudinal direction is partially cut to form a chamfered part 5, and a top end part of the riser is fitted and fixed in a riser fitting groove 4 in an underside of a footboard 3 in the state that the chamfered part is located on a front side of the staircase, thereby obtaining a staircase structure. A clearance 7 is formed between the chamfered part of the riser and an inner surface corner section of the riser fitting groove, and a non-contact state is maintained therebetween in a fitting state. Therefore, the treading sound is not generated even when a load is applied to the staircase in the case of going up and down of the staircase. The surface of the chamfered part is preferably flat.
