PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a water amount of a spent fuel storage pool necessary for removing decay heat of spent fuels even in an emergency situation in which an event of loss of all power supply sources continues.SOLUTION: A spent fuel storage facility comprises: a spent fuel storage pool 2 for storing used fuels and maintaining cooling water in it; a building for housing the spent fuel storage pool 2 with a ceiling board 12 covering above the spent fuel storage pool 2; the ceiling board 12 which is a cooling function section 200 for cooling evaporated cooling water and generating condensed water; and a condensed water transfer section 300 for capturing the condensed water at its lower face and transferring it to the spent fuel storage pool 2. The condensed water transfer section 300 provided below the ceiling board 12 has a condensed water receiving board 13, with a receiving board aperture 13a formed right above the spent fuel storage pool 2, the ceiling board 12 having a downward slope towards the receiving board aperture 13a for capturing the condensed water condensed on the lower face of the ceiling board 12, the condensed water receiving board 13 being made to drop after the cooling water is evaporated and letting it drop from the receiving board aperture 13a to the spent fuel storage pool 2.
