PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication services for a mobile station having a plurality of communication interfaces, each communication interface having an active power mode and an inactive power mode.SOLUTION: A first communication interface is activated on the basis of power characteristics of the first communication interface with respect to the plurality of communication interfaces (402). A communication service level of the activated first communication interface is assessed for a first predetermined time period (404). The first communication interface is then deactivated (406). A second communication interface is activated on the basis of power characteristics of the second communication interface with respect to the plurality of communication interfaces (408). A communication service level of the activated second communication interface is assessed for a second predetermined time period (410). The second communication interface is then deactivated.
