PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type color display device that can suitably adjust a color range (a color gamut) reproduced as color display.SOLUTION: The reflection type color display device is characterized in that the area ratio of a sub-pixel color layer occupied in a sub-pixel area varies for each different hue, in a color layer pattern constituting a color filter. Consequently, by changing the area ratio of the sub-pixel color layer occupied in the sub-pixel area for each hue, and thereby enabling adjustment thereof for each hue in a color component of reflection light of external environmental light, a balance of a color gamut displayed according to an application of the reflection type color display device can be appropriately adjusted.
