PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile press-in and pull-out machine capable of obtaining a sufficient reaction force even by two sets of clamping devices, and a steel pipe pile press-in and pull-out method.;SOLUTION: A clamp device is constituted of a front clamping device 3a and a rear clamping device 3b, and the front clamping device 3a is fixed to or connected to the underside of a pedestal 2 so as to be slidable in a longitudinal direction with respect to the direction of travel, while the rear clamping device 3b is configured with respect to the front clamping device 3a such that the rear clamping device 3b can slide over a distance larger than one pitch of a steel pipe pile 11 clamped by the clamp device in a longitudinal direction relatively to the direction of travel. Furthermore, in a plurality of existing steel pipe piles 11 pressed-in by mutually engaging them with joints 13 respectively, a head steel pipe pile 11a of the existing steel pipe piles 11 is clamped by the front clamping device 3a, while a third existing steel pipe pile 11c from the head can be clamped by the rear clamping device 3b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
