PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale preventing apparatus capable of preventing silica scale and calcium scale by a low cost method with respect to an inflow water containing at least a silica component and a calcium component, to provide a power generation system employing the same, and to provide a scale preventing method.;SOLUTION: A scale preventing apparatus includes: an insoluble chelate member 1a for catching a calcium component of inflow water; a container 1 for containing the insoluble chelate member; an alkaline material addition device for adding an alkaline material to the inflow water obtained after being contacted with the insoluble chelate member to thereby raise the pH of the inflow water more than 7; an acidic substance addition device for adding an acidic substance to the inflow water before being contacted with the insoluble chelate member and for adjusting the pH of the inflow water to less than 7; and a control device 11 for alternately switching between the operation of the alkaline material addition device and the operation of the acidic substance addition device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
