PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new rice variety resistant to Nilaparvata lugens.SOLUTION: The rice variety is characterized in that: a region corresponding to the region including from 759,931th base to 1,757,667th base in sixth chromosome of a rice variety Nipponbare in sixth chromosome of a rice individual in a chromosome of a rice variety Koshihikari is homolytically substituted with a chromosome fragment formed of the region of a rice variety Rathu Heenati; an upstream end of the chromosome fragment exists in the region corresponding to a region including from 512,802th base to 759,931th base of sixth chromosome of the rice variety Nipponbare; and a downstream end of the chromosome fragment exists in the region corresponding to a region including from 1,757,667th base to 1,957,098th base of sixth chromosome of the rice variety Nipponbare.
