PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case making method and a case making apparatus capable of coping with a change in the size of a folded sheet.;SOLUTION: The folded sheet has a plurality of panels 9 which form a square cylinder with both edges opened when opening the sheet; outer flaps continued to both edges of each of a pair of panels 9 which are opposed when opening the sheet among the plurality of panels 9; and inner flaps 10c, 10d continued to both edges of each of another pair of panels 9 which are opposed when opening the sheet, separately from the pair of panels 9. The pair of panels 9 opposed when opening, or the outer flaps or the inner flaps 10c, 10d are sucked by suction means 22 from both sides of a conveyance path 12 with the folding sheet held in the conveyance path 12, and the suction means 22 sucking the outer flaps or the like are moved in a direction of mutually approaching the suction means 22 in a conveyance direction of the conveyance path 12 while moving the respective suction means 22 in a width direction intersecting the conveyance direction according to the size of the folded sheet in such a manner that they are separated from each other, whereby the folded sheet is opened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
