METHOD OF IMPLEMENTING HALT FUNCTION IN PRINTING OPERATION OF INKJET PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of minimizing undesired effect of temperature and environmental air on a printing material web after the start of the halt function.;SOLUTION: The printing material web is printed by a printing unit including a printing lateral bar having a printing head, and an actual value of web tension of the printing material web is measured by a web tension sensor. In printing operation, the actual value of web tension is controlled to a predetermined operation target value of operation tension of the printing material web, and the web tension of the printing material web is further controlled as the halt function starts so as to vary the target value of web tension of the printing material web so that after the printing material web halts, the printing material web takes a position for the printing head that the printing material web takes before the halt starts, and after the halt ends, the actual value of web tension of the printing material web is controlled to the operation target value of web tension of the printing material web again.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
