PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental caries preventive agent, a periodontal disease preventive agent, and a composition for an oral cavity containing as an active component a natural compound that is derived from an easily available raw material usable as foods and is as effective as or more effective than a compound conventionally supposed to be antimicrobial to microbes causing dental caries or periodontal disease.;SOLUTION: There are provided a dental caries preventive agent containing as an active component at least one compound selected from maslinic acid, corosolic acid and salts thereof; a periodontal disease preventive agent containing as an active component at least one compound selected from maslinic acid, corosolic acid and salts thereof; a glucosyltransferase inhibitor containing as an active component at least one compound selected from maslinic acid, corosolic acid and salts thereof; and a composition for an oral cavity containing as an active component at least one compound selected from maslinic acid, corosolic acid and salts thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
