PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger position detection device capable of detecting a finger position in a depth direction with respect to a camera and in a finger row direction generated by a single camera which takes an image of plural fingers from the finger tip side.SOLUTION: The finger position detection device includes: a first direction feature amount extraction section 13 that divides a hand area including the respective fingers detected from an image in which plural fingers are taken from the finger tip side into plural first cells having a first size, and extracts a first feature amount representing characteristics of the finger position in the depth direction from the first cells; a second direction feature amount extraction section 14 that divides the hand area into plural second cells having a second size smaller than the first size, and extracts a second feature amount representing characteristics of the finger position in the finger row direction from the respective second cells; a first direction position detection section 15 that detects a finger position in the depth direction on the basis of the first feature amount; and a second direction position detection section 16 that detects a finger position in the finger row direction on the basis of the second feature amount.
