PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication monitoring block device, a data block method for the communication monitoring block device, a data block program, and a path search system.;SOLUTION: A communication monitoring device comprises a response packet block unit. The response packet block unit makes a path search packet transmitted from a first communication device, which is to be transmitted to a second communication device, pass, and blocks a first response packet transmitted from a third communication device installed between the communication monitoring device and the second communication device, or a second response packet transmitted from the second communication device which has received the path search packet. The first response packet is a response packet generated by the third communication device when a valid period of the path search packet has expired before the path search packet reaches the second communication device.
