TOOL FOR PREVENTING DAMAGE BY BIRDS FOR POLYMER INSULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a tool for preventing damage by birds for a polymer insulator capable of reducing damage of a polymer insulator due to pecking of birds.;SOLUTION: A tool 10 for preventing damage by birds for a polymer insulator comprises: a mounting part 11 mounted on a surface of a polymer insulator 100; and plural protrusion parts 12 extending in a direction away from the polymer insulator 100 while the mounting part 11 is mounted to the polymer insulator 100. The tool 10 is mounted to terminal metal fitting parts 30 fixed to both ends of a resin insulator body 20 of the polymer insulator 100, so as to prevent birds clinging on the terminal metal fitting parts 30 from moving toward the insulator body 20 to ride over the protrusion parts 12, or from pecking the insulator body 20 from the terminal metal fitting parts 30 side, thereby reducing damage of the polymer insulator 100.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
