PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for pyrolyzing a polymer-based waste, capable of recovering carbide from the polymer-based waste, wherein equipment productivity is improved, and to provide a method for pyrolyzing the polymer-based waste using the equipment.SOLUTION: Equipment for pyrolyzing a polymer-based waste includes: at least two pyrolytic furnaces in which a polymer-based waste is stored and which pyrolize the polymer-based waste to generate a pyrolysis gas; one cooling and separating device for separating an oil from the pyrolysis gas generated in the pyrolytic furnaces and then recovering the oil; and one gas-heating device and one gas-circulating device, for heating again a gas remaining in the cooling and separating device and for circulating the gas by supplying the gas to the pyrolytic furnace where the gas is heated next. Each pyrolytic furnace is connected to the cooling and separating device, the gas-circulating device, and the gas-heating device through a corresponding switch valve.
