PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent change troubles due to input errors by displaying a confirmation message when an amount of change calculated from an inputted amount of received money from a customer is larger than the maximum currency amount and making an operator confirm again whether or not there is an error in input of the amount of received money.;SOLUTION: A merchandise sales data processor includes: merchandise data input means for inputting merchandise data; information processing means for arithmetically processing a total amount of sales of sales merchandise; display means for displaying the total amount of sales as an amount billed; received money input means for inputting payment received from a customer as received money; change amount determination means for receiving a command to close a commercial transaction of the customer, executing arithmetic processing of change, and determining whether or not the change amount is equal to or larger than the maximum currency; confirmation message display means for displaying a confirmation message to an operator when it is determined that the change amount is equal to or larger than the maximum currency by the change amount determination means; and selection means for selecting propriety of the change amount on the basis of the confirmation message.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
