PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensionally crosslinked cholesteric monolayer and a cholesteric pigment obtained therefrom, exhibiting high lightness, color reflectivity, and color flop/inclination effect, and having additional characteristics such as modified high hiding power, conductivity, luminescence, fluorescence, phosphorescence, and coloring property, compared to an original LC mixture having no additive or magnetism, without further adding a layer of a material having the above additional characteristics.;SOLUTION: The liquid crystal monolayer of the present invention comprises a three-dimensionally crosslinked cholesteric liquid crystal mixture and nanoparticles. The nanoparticles have a graininess of 1 to 999 nm.
