PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of detecting a consumption state of ink with high accuracy, even for a liquid container without a connection terminal for securing an electrical connection with a printing apparatus.;SOLUTION: A liquid consumption state detecting apparatus detects a consumption state of liquid received in a liquid container mounted to a liquid consumption apparatus, and includes: a mounting unit for mounting the liquid container and displaceably supported according to a magnitude of force applied to the mounting unit; a supporting unit for supporting the mounting unit; a biasing member arranged between the mounting unit and supporting unit and for biasing the mounting unit by the force based on the weight of the liquid container; a displacement reducing unit for reducing vibration displacement being the displacement of the mounting unit with the liquid container mounted thereon, the displacement caused by the vibration generated in the biasing member; a state detection unit for detecting a state of consumption of the liquid, based on the position of the gravity direction in the mounting unit or a degree of inclination, while the vibration displacement in the mounting unit is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
