PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation plate having a low photoelastic coefficient and also heat resistance and light resistance, and a polarizing plate and an image display device comprising the same.;SOLUTION: A retardation plate is formed of a thermoplastic resin having 50-90 mass% of a first structural unit (methacrylic acid ester), 0.1-15 mass% of a second structural unit (maleic acid), and 0.1-49.9 mass% of a third structural unit (maleic acid), in which the absolute value of photoelastic coefficient of the thermoplastic resin is 2.5×10^-12 Pa^-1 or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
