PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lap roofing slate roof material with high heat shielding/insulating effect and to provide a construction method for turning a building having an existing slate roof to a lap roofing slate roof.;SOLUTION: Since a slate roof material 22 in use is wavy, when a planar heat insulating plate 26 is fixed to a top face, a part where the slate roof material 22 in use and the heat insulating plate 26 are abutted and a part where they are not abutted are generated. Also, similar parts are generated between a new slate roof material 24 and the heat insulating plate 26 as well. In such a manner, since heat is conducted only at the parts where the respective slate roof materials and the heat insulating plate are abutted, heat conduction is reduced as compared to the case that the entire surface is abutted. In addition, since a space is provided between the new slate roof material 24 and the heat insulating plate 26, even when heat of the new slate roof material 24 is transmitted to the air in the space, a heat quantity to be transmitted to the slate roof material 22 in use is reduced by the heat insulating plate 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
