PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for operating an application, premising operation by a dedicated controller, using a general input device.SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 100, a mobile vector acquisition section 60 acquires a movement of a cursor of a pointing device in the form of a mobile vector. A display section 50 displays an execution screen of an application. Further, the display section 50 displays an operation area for operating an operation object in the application in an area different from the area where the execution screen is displayed in a display screen. A conversion section 70 finds a movement direction and a movement quantity of the display position of the operation object based upon the mobile vector of the cursor of the pointing device in the operation area that the mobile vector acquisition section 60 acquires.
