PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the life performance of a lead-acid storage battery and prevent the reduction in discharge capacity by improving the adhesion between a positive electrode active material and a positive electrode collector which includes a tin dioxide film formed on the surface of a substrate composed of titanium or a titanium alloy, in a positive electrode plate comprising the positive electrode collector without the need for external pressurizing means.SOLUTION: A positive electrode plate for a lead-acid storage battery comprises a positive electrode collector 2 including a tin dioxide film 22 formed on the surface of a collector substrate 21 composed of titanium or a titanium alloy, and a positive electrode active material 3 held by the positive electrode collector 2. The tin dioxide film 22 is doped with antimony, and the ratio S/P (cm/g) of the area S (cm) of the positive electrode active material holding surface to the mass P (g) of the positive electrode active material 3 in the positive electrode collector 2 is equal to or higher than 0.6.
