PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for generating a laser pulse with a relatively-narrow spectral bandwidth.;SOLUTION: A device 100 for generating a narrow spectral bandwidth laser pulse 130 comprises: a seed pulse laser 101 for generating a seed laser pulse with seed pulse duration; a light stretcher 110 for receiving and modifying the seed laser pulse, and generating the modified laser pulse that has pulse duration longer than the seed pulse duration and has optical frequency positive chirp; and a light amplifier 120 that is formed by an optical gain medium that gives normal light dispersion to the modified laser pulse. The light amplifier 120 amplifies the modified laser pulse with positive chirp to a certain power level. At the power level, self-phase modulation compresses a bandwidth of the amplified and modified laser pulse.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
