PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel portable terminal in which visibility of a through image can be improved even if an ineffective region is set, an ineffective region setting program and an ineffective region setting method.SOLUTION: A mobile phone 10 comprises a camera control circuit 40 to which an image sensor 42 or the like is connected. Furthermore, when a camera function is implemented, a through image is displayed on a display 30 on which a touch panel 38 is provided. When a touch operation designating a region is performed after a touch operation is performed on a setting key while the through image is displayed, an ineffective region is set within a touch range of the touch panel 38. Moreover, an imaging key or a cancel key is displayed in any effective region other than the ineffective region within the touch range. Therefore, since the ineffective region is not displayed and an image can be displayed without changing the image size, visibility of an image displayed on the display 30 can be prevented from being reduced.
