VIRTUAL ROUTING METHOD IN VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT AND VIRTUAL ROUTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform packet transfer without via any excessive route even under the environment where a network configuration is varied in a fluid manner.;SOLUTION: A plurality of virtual machine monitors comprise virtual router IP addresses which are different from each other for each segment and further comprises a first routing table in which virtual machine IP addresses of virtual machines to operate on the plurality of virtual machine monitors and virtual router IP addresses are made correspondent. When transmitting a packet, by referring to the first routing table, a destination virtual router IP address of the packet to be transmitted is identified and it is discriminated whether or not the identified destination virtual router IP address is identical to that of the virtual machine monitor per se. If identical to that of the virtual machine per se as a result of the discrimination, a destination MAC address is translated into a MAC address of the destination virtual machine. If not identical to that of the virtual machine per se as a result of the discrimination, the destination MAC address is translated into a MAC address of the destination virtual router and the packet after the translation is transmitted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
