PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technique of mass-producing a biodegradable plastic-degrading enzyme using a microorganism which is isolated from nature and in which the safety thereof is confirmed, without using genetic recombination technology.;SOLUTION: In the method for producing the biodegradable plastic-degrading enzyme, Pseudozyma antarctica is cultured in a medium containing xylose. With the method, the biodegradable plastic-degrading enzyme can be mass-produced without using the genetic recombination technology. Thus, the mass-produced biodegradable plastic-degrading enzyme can be used for decomposing a biodegradable multi film laid in an agricultural field and the biodegradable mulch film can be safely and efficiently decomposed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
