PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for checking a dimension of a crankpin rotated with an orbital motion at high reliability and low inertia force during a grinding operation or a similar operation.;SOLUTION: The checking device for checking a diameter of a crankshaft (34) and the crankpin (18) during a grinding operation of a grinding machine has: a first arm (9) arranged on a grinding wheel slide section (1) of the grinding machine and rotating against a support section (5); a second arm (12)rotating against the first arm, a reference device (20) supported with the second arm; and measuring devices (16, 17, 40-45) connected with the reference device. A guide device (21) fixed on the reference device (20) enables the checking device to connect with the crankpin in the course of the orbital motion of the crankpin, and limits movements of the first arm and movements of the second arm when control devices (28-30) moves the checking device to a rest position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
