ORAL HYGIENE COMPOSITION EFFECTIVE TO DENTAL CARIES AND PERIODONTITIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral hygiene composition having excellent effects in prevention, amerioration and treatment of dental caries and periodontitis by including a specific content of Kaempheria pandurata Roxb., Boesenbergia rotunda (L.) Mansf. extract and Pistacia Lentiscus extract.SOLUTION: The oral hygiene composition containing Kaempheria pandurata Roxb., Boesenbergia rotunda (L.) Mansf. extract and Pistacia Lentiscus extract, in the range of 3:1 to 1:3 in terms of the weight ratio of solid portions, has a very high antimicrobial activity, and not only has excellent effect in activity inhibition of matrix-metalloprotease decaying a periodontal tissue but also can perform a processing treatment in a wide-range temperature stably even at high temperature without a side effect, to thereby achieve effective prevention, amerioration and treatment of dental caries and periodontitis.
