PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program guide having an improved function.SOLUTION: A system and a method for providing an electronic program guide for television or radio programs present listings of present or future programs on a screen, present listings of past programs on the screen, and indicate whether the past program is available again in the future. A system and a method for handling information controllable from the electronic program guide for the television or radio programs receive information in a system of a user, store the received information in the system of the user, display access to the stored information by using a user interface, and enable the user to select one of a plurality of management options for controlling an operation of the stored information by using the user interface.
