PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-durable refractory for a converter bottom-blown tuyere, and to provide a converter using the same.;SOLUTION: In the refractory for the converter bottom-blown tuyere, a brick mainly containing magnesia (MgO), alumina (Al₂O₃), and graphite (C) is used in a tuyere for blowing gas from a furnace bottom of the converter. In the brick, the magnesia is 60-85 wt.%, the alumina is 5-20 wt.%, and the graphite is 10-25 wt.%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
