PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the drying shrinkage strain of a coarse aggregate simply with a good precision.;SOLUTION: This invention provides a method for predicting the drying shrinkage strain of a group of coarse aggregates consisting essentially of the following steps (A) and (B): (A) the regression analysis step of determining a single regression equation passing through the origin by using as the explanatory variable the water absorptivities of two or more coarse aggregates selected from the group consisting of coarse aggregates and by using as the response variable the values of the drying shrinkage strains of the coarse aggregates, and (B) the prediction value calculation step of calculating the predicted values of the drying shrinkage strain of the group of the coarse aggregates by substituting the average water absorptivity of the group of the coarse aggregates as the explanatory variable into the single regression equation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
