PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a text retrieval device not only retrieving texts classified into a plurality of categories on the basis of a retrieval keyword but also rearranging and outputting the retrieval result by a method according to each category, and to provide a text retrieval program, and a text retrieval method.SOLUTION: A text retrieval device 100 includes an information storage unit 110 that stores a plurality of sets of characters and the like described in a text subject to a retrieval, appearance positions of the characters and the like, a text constituted of the characters and the like, a category into which the text is classified, and a determination method for determining an output order of the text, in association with one another. The text retrieval device 100 retrieves the appearance position associated with the characters and the like constituting a search keyword, the category, and the determination method, and outputs the retrieved text for every retrieved category according to the output order that is determined by using the retrieved appearance position for the retrieved determination method.
