PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and proper disposal of used batteries.SOLUTION: There is provided a plant battery 1 comprising: a plant 10; and a positive electrode 20 and a negative electrode 30 that are planted into the plant 10 so that they are dipped in the sap of the plant, and are respectively made of a material easy/hard to be melt in the sap. That is to say, the stem of the plant 10 functions as a battery case, and the sap itself inside the plant 10 functions as an electrolyte, as a result it becomes possible to charge or discharge electric power in the same principle as chemical batteries. This can also apply to a secondary battery apparatus configured by using a planted tree instead of using a plant.
