PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure local distortion at a tip of a crack generated on a rubber surface.;SOLUTION: A local distortion measurement method for a crack tip includes: a marking step of forming a mark with mark elements arranged in matrix state at regular intervals in X-axis and Y-axis directions, in an area including an area adjacent to a crack tip while an opening edge of the crack is closed; and a distortion measurement step of measuring local distortion generated at the crack tip, on the basis of displacement of an interval between the mark elements. The marking step includes a process of, after applying silver ink to one surface of plain-woven wire gauze with prescribed mesh, transferring the application part to a rubber surface. The mark elements are composed of first approximately-elliptic elements extending in the X-axis direction and second approximately-elliptic elements extending in the Y-axis direction.
