PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boehmite nanorod and an alumina nanorod having furthermore improved dispersibility and uniformity of the shape and the size of particles.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a boehmite nanorod has steps for: (I) preparing a solution containing carboxylate of alumina or β-diketone complex of alumina and water, and not containing substantially an alkali metal element and an alkaline earth metal element; and (II) performing hydrothermal treatment of the solution at the temperature of 100-300°C. The method for producing an alumina nanorod further includes a step of burning a boehmite nanorod obtained through the steps (I) and (II) at the temperature of 450-700°C after the steps (I) and (II).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
