PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a metal complex which can sufficiently shield UV-A, which has been conventionally difficult to be shield, while sustaining excellent light resistance over a long period of time and maintaining high visible light transmittance; a composition for UV absorption member containing the metal complex; and a UV absorption member using the metal complex.;SOLUTION: The metal complex uses, as a ligand, a compound represented by formula (2), wherein X and Y are each independently an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R1 is a 1-8C alkyl group, R2 does not exist or, when R2 exists, one to four of four hydrogen atoms respectively bonding to four carbon atoms except two carbon atoms shared with a five-membered ring, among six carbon atoms of one benzene ring, may be replaced, and substituent groups, in which the hydrogen atoms of the benzene ring are replaced, are each independently a 1-8C alkyl group, a 1-4C alkoxy group, a halogen group, and a 1-8C alkylsulfonyl group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
