PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device which suppresses occurrence of a lack in a stereoscopic video whose parallax amount is adjusted when the parallax amount is adjusted in accordance with a position of a viewer and which improves comfort of the viewer and to provide a parallax amount adjusting method of the device.SOLUTION: A video control section includes an adjusting section 250 for adjusting a parallax amount of a right eye video 210R and a left eye video 210L on the basis of a change in a present coordinate to a reference coordinate of spectacles 100 in a coordinate system of mutually orthogonal X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis, in which a lateral direction of a video is set to be the X-axis direction, a longitudinal direction to be the Y-axis direction and a depth direction to be the Z-axis direction. The adjusting section 250 adjusts the parallax amount by moving a partial region of the right eye video 210R or the left eye video 210L to a reference position of the right eye video 210R or the left eye video 210L.
