PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power consuming apparatus management method etc. capable of controlling a power consuming apparatus on the basis of a general and social standard, and capable of improving user convenience and energy saving consciousness in a user.SOLUTION: A power consuming apparatus management method in the case that there are provided a plurality of power consuming apparatuses receiving power supply from a power source through a power line and a monitoring device for the power consuming apparatuses comprises: a step in which significance level information showing significance degree of power consumption by each power consuming apparatus is previously stored in the apparatus; a step in which the power consumption by each power consuming apparatus is detected by the apparatus; a step in which the monitoring device acquires the significance level information and information on the power consumption from each power consuming apparatus through the power line and retains the information, whenever necessary; a step in which the power consuming device is controlled through the power line by using the retained information; and a step in which information related to a power consumption charge using a unit cost based on the significance level is displayed.
